Education

Australia is the destination for many young people from all over the world. More than 500 000 students from almost
a 100 countries start education in Australia each year. Students can travel around the country, study and learn English. Australia's population consists of 100 different ethnic groups, which means that is one of the most diverse countries in the world. Moreover, Australians respect the cultural richness that "import" international students.

Globally recognised qualifications

Australian education has a strong international reputation for excellence. According to recently conducted studies, Australia was ranked 5. among the 24 richest countries in the world, in terms of the effectiveness of the educational system. Whether you study at a university, school, vocational or English language institute, you will receive a quality education that will form a strong foundation for your future success. School students in Australia study under a national curriculum framework which ensures high academic standards in eight key learning areas, including English, mathematics, science and arts.

Australian institutions are renowned for both quality and career-oriented training in an innovative and research-intensive education culture. Australia’s approach to vocational education and training leads the world in innovation and quality. You’ll have the opportunity to step outside the classroom and practice your skills in real and simulated workplaces. This will give you a genuine advantage over other graduates. Australian universities are widely known for the quality of their teaching and research. You’ll learn from teachers who are experts in their industries and who can provide you with a sound understanding of your chosen field. You’ll develop strong academic skills that can be applied to other areas and learn to think creatively and independently.

Graduating with an Australian qualification will give you a competitive edge. Other governments, international employers and institutions around the world recognise the value of an Australian qualification and the high quality of our education system. Our corporate trainers are in demand both locally and abroad for their skills in curriculum development, in-house training for corporations and government departments and non-government agencies.

Wide range of educational services

In Australia, you have the freedom to choose the study option to suit your goals. You can learn at universities, VET, high schools and English language training centres. VET sector (Vocational and Education Training) has no direct counterpart in the Polish education system. Graduates are very welcome by employers since academic study is combined with getting an experience. Obtaining a diploma requires completion of two years (sometimes annual) course and allows you to take the second year of studies at the university in Australia. The range of courses is very wide and certainly everyone will find a discipline that interests him - you can study everything from accounting to tourism, negotiations, plumbing or carpentry. This sector is very popular among Polish students. Educational sectors are linked so you can move easily from one qualification level to the next and from one institution to another.

Living in Australia

Australia is one of the best places in the world to live while you learn. The standard of living is amongst the highest in the world, yet costs remain competitive. An average international student in Australia will spend about A$360 a week on accommodation, food, clothing, entertainment, transport and telephone. Remember, though, that this figure depends on your location, lifestyle and even your course. You can offset your living costs with part-time work while you study. On your breaks from study, you will have a wide choice of activities to enrich your experience - from cultural festivals, concerts and museums, to major sporting events. You should seek further information on living costs from your institution.
